Four authentic Edo period original, c.1800, Japanese erotic art shunga woodblock print pictures by a member of the Kitagawa School. 
 
Shunga pictures measure approximately 10.3 cm x 16 cm each.  Very good colors and impressions.  Condition is decent for their age with some wear, soiling, stains, and wormage mainly on the white borders.  No backing.  Please see and judge from photos provided.
 
Japanese original shunga woodblock print pictures comprising an extraordinary group of four anatomical studies illustrating intercourse during pregnancy and the developing unborn child.  Each composition presents the fetus within the womb alongside dramatically enlarged male genitalia, creating a remarkable cutaway-like visualization of sexuality, conception, and pregnancy rarely encountered in conventional shunga.
 
These c.1800 Kitagawa School anatomical studies are also particularly significant for their direct artistic connection to the later shunga of Keisai Eisen.  Eisen copied this distinctive approach and carried the style into his own anatomical erotic works of the 1820–1845 period.
