Authentic Edo period original, c.1830, Japanese erotic art shunga surimono (privately commissioned, high-quality print) woodblock print picture by an artist of the UTAGAWA School. 
 
Shunga picture measures 9 cm x 13 cm.  Very good colors and impressions.  Nice embossing, as well as some deluxe printing techniques such as mica (metallic pigments) and gauffrage (a milder and more subtle type of embossing).
 
Good condition with some light wear and soiling, burn mark to the left of the picture.  No backing, aside from minimal strips along the sides of the picture.  Please see and judge from photos.
 
This shunga composition features a particularly beautiful young woman, elegantly coiffed and dressed in richly patterned robes, leaning intimately over her lover during coitus.  Her delicate features, elaborate hairstyle and graceful pose contrast beautifully with the earthy eroticism of the scene.
