Authentic Edo period original, c.1848, Japanese shunga erotic art woodblock print by Koikawa Shozan (1823-1880). From the shunga series, Tabimakura gojusan tsugi, an erotic parody of Hiroshige's 53 Stations of the Tokaido. Shunga picture measures 16.3 cm x 23.8 cm. Very good colors and impressions. Condition is fair with some wear and soiling, wormage, repair work done around the man's head and front part of his body, which is visible on both the front and back of the picture.
