A great shunga scene featuring the mythical Japanese deities Orihime and Hikoboshi, deeply aroused, chasing one another in the night sky. These legendary deities were associated with the stars Vega and Altair. According to Japanese ancient lore, the Milky Way divides these lovers, allowing them to come together just once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month (July 7th) in the traditional lunisolar calendar.
