A striking latter Meiji Period (c.1900) shunga interpretation inspired by Torii Kiyonaga’s celebrated anal scene from Sode no maki (The Sleeve Scroll, 1785). The unusually long, narrow composition closely recalls Kiyonaga’s famous original, while the simplified drawing and bold Meiji-era colors give the scene a distinctly later character. Artist is anonymous. 
 
Measures 16.5 cm x 6 cm.  Very good colors and impressions.  Very good condition with mild wear.  No backing.  Please refer to photos.
