1915 - Original Japanese Hanging Scroll - Kakejiku - Waterfall
Original Taisho Period Japanese Hand-Painted Hanging Scroll (Kakejiku)
Artist: Nakajima Haruo who was born in 1887. He was a superb & highly revered landscape artist who studied under Yamamoto Shunkyo during the Meiji Period, and is thus, also referred to as Yamamoto Haruo after his master's name.
Date: early Taisho Period, c.1915
Description: 100% Japanese genuine & authentic original kakejiku (hanging scroll). Fantastic hand-painted artwork (this is not a print or machine copy) with gorgeous colors, especially of the green Momiji (Japanese maple tree) at the bottom of the picture, offsetting the muted colors of the waterfall.
Condition is very good with a clean and virtually blemish-free picture. Painting is mounted onto a beautiful silver silk fabric. Please see and judge from photos.
