Hokusai - Terukata Shunga - Koban-size Fukujuso (The Adonis Plant)

Hokusai - Terukata Shunga - Koban-size Fukujuso (The Adonis Plant)

SKU : fuk335

Authentic Meiji period, c.1910, Japanese shunga erotic art woodblock print picture by Ikeda Terukata (1883-1921).  Picture measures 12.5 cm x 9 cm.  This is Ikeda Terukata's koban-sized rendition of Hokusai's rare series, Fukujuso (The Adonis Plant).

Very good colors and impressions.  Good condition with some wear, soiling, bit of smudging on the right side of the picture.  No backing.  Please see and judge from photos.

Similar to the larger, Oban-sized deluxe version of Hokusai’s Fukujusō (Adonis Plant) shunga picture, this smaller koban-sized artwork captures the same artistic style of the Edo Period master himself.
