Original Taisho/early Showa Period Japanese Hand-Painted Hanging Scroll (Kakejiku)
Date: early to mid 1900s
Description: 100% Japanese genuine & authentic original kakejiku (hanging scroll). Fantastic hand-painted artwork (this is not a print or machine copy) with nice colors and handsome artwork of a hawk/falcon perched atop a rocky precipice.
Condition is good with a clean and virtually blemish-free picture, although the scroll itslef does have a few crease/fold lines. Painting is mounted onto a clean & beautiful gold silk fabric. The string atop the scroll used to hang it has been severed (see last photo), so in order to hang it, it needs to be fixed or replaced with another. However, it'd be an easy fix. Please see and judge from photos.
Size of entire scroll: 196 cm x 57 cm
There isn't a wooden box for this scroll.
