Description:  A genuine and authentic original Japanese hand-painted kakejiku (hanging scroll - this is not a print nor machine copy).  A powerful late Edo Period tiger scroll executed in the traditional Sino-Japanese style.  The artist portrays the tiger with an intense upward gaze and dramatic brushwork, emphasizing strength, vigilance, and authority.  Works of this type were highly prized as symbols of courage, protection, and good fortune.  Would make a wonderfully eye-catching and decorative piece of art to any home or office.
 
Condition is very good for its age with mild wear and bit of spotting.  Please see and judge from photos.
