Description: 100% Japanese genuine & authentic original samurai warrior picture by Toyohara from 1874.  Excellent colors and impressions, as well as in very good condition with minimal flaws to note of (just one tiny pinhole in his hair).  Excellent printing and preservation.  No backing.  Please see and judge from photos.

 

Size of woodblock print picture:  24.2 cm x 36.3 cm, Ōban tate-e (large vertical print).

 

Description:  This woodblock print picture portrays the intense moment of a samurai, Seiriki Tomigoro, ready to end his life with a musket.  The attention to detail and the emotional depth of the scene are characteristic of Kunichika's work, capturing the viewer's attention and evoking a strong emotional response.
