Economy Lot of 20 Shunga Prints, Late Meiji / early Taishō kuchi-e-style (transitional woodblock–lithographic prints) shunga for the smallest surimono-sized ones (2nd image shown), while the others are Kogyo's classic crepe-style woodblock prints, famous for his emphasis on the deluxe printing of mica (metallic pigments).

 

Meiji Period Artists for the lot.  The artists here are Tomioka Eisen, Keishu for the old-man-themed shunga piece, and Terazaki Kogyo from his famous series, Izumo no chigiri (Pledge of Izumo), with the remaining being anonymous shunga pieces.  

 

An attractive mixed lot of 20 authentic Japanese shunga pictures from the Meiji and early Taisho Periods.

📊 Condition & Size:  The smallest shunga pictures from this lot measure 12.8 cm x 9.5 cm while the largest by Kogyo measure 25.5 cm x 19 cm each. 

Condition varies from piece to piece, with the Kogyo shunga artwork showing the worse for wear with some torn-off corners/edges, foxing, etc.  Please see and judge from the photos provided.
